In the year 2015, at age 19, she published her first single for her debut album Here. It received a lot of praise equally from critics and listeners. It ranked at number 19 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named it one of the best songs of 2015. She debuted her debut Know It All album in the year that followed. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful is one of the five songs that reached the top of the charts on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as Billboard Hot 100. It was unique in that lots of people reacted to her interview with rapper The Rap-Up crew about how she struggled in learning to love and accept herself. Cara is known for incorporating messages about mental health kindness as well as self-love and kindness into her music. Her music is inspired by her own personal experience as she struggled with mental health issues and insomnia. According to an Reuters Interview, her album has been described as challenging and refined. The therapy she received was a great help in her growth and now she urges people to try it too. Alessia Cara is a Canadian artist who was born the 11th of July, 1996 to parents of Italian descent. At the age of 10 old, her parents gifted her a guitar which became the basis in her music passion. She started covering her favourite songs at age 13 to prove to that world that she had the skills and the courage necessary to be a singer. In fact, one of her cover songs Sweater Weather was the one which got her attention by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to write and record her tracks.
